This soundtrack was gold to me as I took my first steps into Lament of Innocence. The game might not be for every... Castlevania fan, but there are plenty of great tunes on this album that I think anyone can appreciate. show more
Going on an adventure? Quest Master's fantasy synth music provides great set and setting whether you're playing a solo rpg, writing a story,... or heading out on hike in the wilds to get that photo you've been searching for. This is on an edge of dungeon synth that I feel is almost outside of the genre and creating its own new territory. Love it. show more
Replaying the game again for some October fun (try to every October) and listening to this soundtrack again. It's one of the most... haunting game soundtracks out there. show more
This speaks to my love of the intersection between synth music and horror movies. I know the movie is polarizing (I love it)... but the soundtrack is great. I finally got my partner to watch it this year and she's been singing the Halloween TV Commercial jingle all week long. show more
There is nothing I have to say about this album that hasn't already been discussed. It's moody and powerful with an dark aesthetic... and bleak soundscape and great songs. It that has informed a lot of what I've been into and done over the years. This is one of The Cure's finest albums and it still knocks the wind out of me to this day. show more
This album is one of my go-to albums for clearing my head or focusing on writing. I rarely listen to music when hiking... at the state park, but when I do this album often accompanies me. It's an auditory place I like to visit and check in on. I think Blakmoth has honed the craft since this album and you should check out newer releases. As a modular synth player I really look up to Blakmoth's sounds and practice. Doombient/drone music that hits right. show more
The unique feel of Wavefinder is one I keep coming back to. This collab between Makeup And Vanity Set and Sferro displays the... strength in their individual styles in a way that combines wonderfully and there is no tripping over each other, it's seriously paired well. I come to this album to clear my head and get lost in the sound of this album that feels nostalgic and from another universe at the same time. It's a Datawave classic. show more
This is one of my desert island records. This helped shape who I was musically especially when it came to branching out and... exploring guitar sound, which has led me to exploring sound in general, and a love for recording and synthesis. I often used this album as a reference album when learning to mix at the Los Angeles Recording School. I can't pick favorites whether it comes to albums, movies, or much else, but Disintegration is a front to back force of nature and it's always at the top of my lists. I love it. show more
