Absolutely one of Noel's best works across his entire discography with his oasis catalogue included. This album is by far one of the... best examples of how good of a songwriter, singer and guitarist that Noel is. Every single song has a great riff and is catchy, Noel's voice (unlike another mancunian's) has not changed much since the 90s and it really helps this record. One hundred percent recommend you listen to this album right now.
Lock all the doors, famously originally known as a demo from the oasis days, Noel has vastly improved it with new lyrics apart from the chorus and a great solo too. show more

Ribbons is excellent and Tony Allen's drums throughout the album are as... always Immaculate. It really is an excellent showcase of skill. show more
I love this album. Its especially great after you watch the short dvd on the deluxe album, its cool to see how literally... 2 years after the oasis split noel immediately makes a sound a lot different to what he had done for a while. show more
In the best year for Damon Albarn Fans this was the first Gorillaz album since song machine in lockdown and the first peace... of gorillaz material since the meanwhile ep.
There are some really strong songs on this album. Like REALLY strong but there are a few songs which just let it down (especially on the deluxe album really but I forgot to select that one....). My personal favourite track is Skinny Ape or Oil with Stevie Nicks. Oil is a great example of how a feature should be with gorillaz. Not taking over the song with slight Damon vocals it should be almost like a duet. Tarantula is also a great showcase of 55 y/o Damons vocals and is a happy sounding song with not so happy lyrics just like skinny ape. Skinny Ape is incredible in the sense of it's so morbid but you can't help but want to dance for whatever reason.
4/5 would be higher but yeah. Still a decent album. show more
I REALLY like this album. Each song has its own vibe and feel which all works beautifully together.
With Jackie Down The Line... being an internet sensation a while ago with I Love You having a new sort of popularity with the influencer Mr Bruv and his "Bruv Dates" it shows that this album is absolutely timeless.
The Intro track is also amazing in its own right, the way the track starts and gets more and more intense is sensational and it really is a good way to get you into the mood for the album.
This album is definitely an absolute must for anyone. show more
WTC is a perfect example of a great trio band. Raurri Joseph's genius song writing is excellent as usual. Harry Hardings Drums are... sensational and Naomi Holmes' bass is phenomenal. Although it is only three people you are being faced with a wall of sound which has a lot of depth. show more
