deep 2015 memory is working an overnight shift in the flagship levi store and playing Spaceship with squad. you really just have to... allow yourself to get lost in this soundscape and be lifted back to hip-hop in 2004. i can still remember how much buzz the multiple versions of the jesus walks video created, and the single on the radio in the summer. such a warm and refreshing body of work, there's a reason, besides the potential resistance to the present artist's direction(pray for Ye), that people cling onto this initial sound/era. last call is my sentimental favorite. show more
this album signifies the best hip-hop offering from 2010 bar none. it spawned four diverse singles, a short film, and several timeless live... performances. i have this physical album with the large poster + short film DVD. Runaway is a classic, but i'm more of a Hell of a Life kinda guy. a bombastic juxtaposition of art, culture, design, vulnerability, bravado, traditionalism, experimentalism, futurism, and imagination. would recommend. show more
