Great alt pop hooks and soundscapes.
I remember watching MTV at like 2 am and the video for Cheap Sunglasses came on and that's how I discovered this album.... Tear You Down is still in my current playlists 10 years later. This whole album has a way to be catchy and upbeat in a great way that's hard to fine. show more

This was a huge release for RAC. Some truly iconic tracks on this project, like Hollywood and Cheap Sunglasses. That said, I do... feel like in 2024, it has gone a little stale.
At the time, this album was quite a vibe, but I do get a little fatigued by the end by the pop indie rock. A lot of it starts sounding similar as you get towards the latter half.
All that said, this is still a very solid showing from RAC, and has some killer tracks I still frequent today. show more
Music taste was a lot of my personality in college lol, and I remember being so pleased when people would like my taste.... Strangers was consistently an album that girls thought was so hip and kewl. Tear you Down and Let Go are probably my favorites. show more
It started with “Cheap Sunglasses” on a Spotify radio 10 years ago that triggered a deep love of RAC’s music. I’ve listened to... this specific album from start to finish an unknown number of times. There is a flow that just brings me to tears. Strangers is such an emotional album for me. One of my favorites. show more
