dharit: Song for Ireland by Mary Black

During covid, one of my roommates thought he caught it so we all had to disperse. I went to stay in my gf at the time's folks' apartment in the upper west side near the Lincoln Center. I stayed there alone for 2 weeks around September 2020. The apartment was on like the 50th floor, pretty high up there. It was on a corner and the living room had big glass windows on 2 sides of the building. One day it was raining all day, but then in the evening it cleared up but the clouds were still low and very dramatic. They were moving around and the sunset was peaking through the gaps, shining orange light all over me and the cityscape around me. I felt like I was in an airplane looking out, flying through the clouds but really they were moving past me. It was one of the most memorable experiences, and this album soundtracked it for me.
