The absolute audacity to follow up Antidotes with an 8 minute single of ambient piano and synths. Spanish Sahara dropped after a two year gap and it showed such a different side to Foals and man I must have played that song 200 times. This whole album is more accomplished and I come back to it a lot more than Antidotes even if its overall influence isn’t as strong. Nothing else Foals released after this really captured me but those first two albums are really special.
