It's like stepping into a dream where folk meets digital distortion - an intimate and disorienting journey that hits hard.
Wouldn’t change a thing about this album.
I remember seeing Bon Iver for the first time at Eaux Claires 2015 with some of my best buds and hearing 666 ʇ... for the first time and I don't think I'm ever gonna feel that way again but listening to this album brings me back every time.
Also it's a 10 even without that context. show more
This album came out the month of my life where I finally got free. And got to be truly free for the rest... of the year. Left everything behind, and got to seek just beauty and connection. To me, this album’s sound is goodbye and grief and discovery. It’s strange. And deeply comforting. show more
Love this album. Very Bon
Listening to this when it came out was a journey. I couldn't get enough of it. Such a long way from For Emma,... in a good way.
A friend sent me a pirate copy a few days before release (I think it was leaked for marketing tricks), and we weren't sure if the files had encoding issues or if it was deliberate production techniques. It was deliberate production techniques.
A good one to put on the big speakers and turn up to 11. show more
This album changed my life.
