Baths' newest album is the most grounded he's been, trading his lush and synthy-orchestral indietronics for more organic guitars, keys, strings, and distortion.... Dabbling in jangle pop, indie rock, emo, a little post-punk, and dance, it is the reality of homosexual life outside of Romaplasm's starry-eyed romances. Album single Eden is the euphoric moment existing in the bleak context of the rest of the album. It's brutal and heart-wrenching at just the right moments, and worth sinking an hour into. Definitely his best in a while. show more
