Taylor Swift delivers a cohesive, emotionally rich project with “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology”, blending introspection and storytelling across 31 tracks. Despite its length, the album flows seamlessly, with highlights like “I Hate It Here,” “Fresh Out the Slammer,” and “Robin” standing out for their depth and lyrical strength. However, the decision to push “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” as a radio single feels off—it’s catchy, but lacks the emotional weight and songwriting of better-suited tracks like “Guilty As Sin?” or “Fresh Out the Slammer.” Still, Swift’s ability to maintain a clear vision throughout such an expansive album is impressive, making this one of her most cohesive and affecting releases to date.
