All of RACs albums feel extremely cohesive and there's some sort of fundamental pillar that all these songs are connected to and yet... they each hold their own. EGO for me was the "Older Brother" to Strangers. There's still fun and upbeat songs but they are grown and refined. show more

i wouldn’t have put it out if i didn’t think it was 5 stars. lol all jokes aside, albums are deeply personal journeys which... in my case, took me 3 years. i made this album for myself, to scratch that itch. ratings are all relative but i am really proud of this album and im happy it’s resonated with others. i’ve always subscribed to the mantra that you should write albums for yourself and that’s ultimately what makes them relatable. optimizing for the audience can be sniffed out pretty quickly. something about apes being able to detect inauthenticity from a mile away. it’s exactly 60 min long, down to the seconds and it flows into each other with no breaks. the playlist people at spotify joked with me that “it would be good for playlisting”. spotify later gutted most humans for algorithms, so who’s laughing now. show more
