"The Great Gig in the Sky" was my favorite song for almost my entire life. It was the only song that made me... cry every single time I listened to it. At the same time, it also brought me a lot of frustration because, as a singer, I could never manage to perform it well—especially since the track is sung by three different vocalists, something I didn’t understand back then when I knew nothing about voice types.
