Hayley Williams smooth vocals over the most beautiful retro pop rock instrumentals. Fun catchy guitar hooks from Taylor York, poppy vibrant tones with phasers, groovy bassline, and groovy drum beats from Zac Farro. What more can you ask for. After Laughter touches on depression, anxiety, divorce, perception, and more, and it forms one of the most dark and depressing albums full of the happiest instrumentals. I didn't think much of the album at first, yeah I liked it but a year later, I started to love it. I fell into depression and this album was there to make me feel less alone to this day, is one of the reasons why I love music so much and represents what I aim to do as a musician one day. During one of the darkest times in my life, this album gave me the words to explain the feelings I couldn't. And I think there's no greater connection than that.
