supersigil: Agharta by Miles Davis

One of the last recordings Miles made before taking an extended hiatus, this sprawling live set (along with a second set recorded the same day and released as Pangaea) marks the end of a period I consider to be Miles's creative peak, and one which yielded some of the most important music of the 20th century. The trumpeter's chops are clearly not what they once were, but as a bandleader and musical director, he was still peerless, and there are some amazingly vibey sections contained in the medleys herein.
