I was caught by surprise when this album appeared in my recommendations . Diva of The People is a modern take on disco that doesn't try to emulate the past to the point of becoming derivative, nor does it water down its sound for a newer audience. The instrumentation and Gavin’s vocal performance in this record are incredible.
