I really liked Friendly Fires first (self-titled) album from 2008, but their follow-up Pala, released in 2011, has gone on to be one of my favourite records of all time. Pala blends upbeat indie-pop and tropical dance music, creating an energetic, lush soundscape inspired by island vibes and escapism.
